Michael Dean is a retired Waxahachie,Texas firefighter Having been in music since the age of nine, he has evolved into one of the most versatile singers/entertainers in the Metroplex. He started and was lead singer for the “Silver River Band” from Maypearl, Texas in the early 80;s. He has played and sang at many local opry’s including being a regular guest at the “Mesquite Opry”. He was instrumental in organizing Waxahachie’s own “Ellis County Opry” in the late 80’s. He has performed with many entertainers from all over the music business including today’s country star, LeAnn Rimes. He’s appeared on stages all over the state including Dallas’s “Longhorn Ballroom” and Ft. Worth’s “White Elephant Saloon”. Between 1999 and 2002, Mike was the driving force with “Two of a Kind”, a unique duo that was marked as one of the best in harmony. Mike was introduced to karaoke in 2000 when he stumbled into it at the “Box Car” in Cedar Hill. It was there he met Mr. Glenn Lukin with On Stage Entertainment. Mike was really impressed with the “concept” of karaoke and being one that love’s to entertain, he immediately began making the karaoke circuit between his own shows. Ironically, Mike had the opportunity to host karaoke at the Box Car for over 2 years and stood in the exact spot his mentor once stood. It took only 4 short years for Mike to build Michael Dean Entertainment into one of the most successful companies in the metroplex. Appearing exclusively at one of the premier locations in DFW, Mike appears 3 to 4 nights a week and has been named "Director of Entertainment" for Bobbisox Lounge / MCM Grande Hotel in DeSoto, Texas. Mike had the opportunity also to get on the ground floor of a new concept of bringing karaoke to the world. Being a part time DJ for KBIG Internet Radio based out of Dallas, some of Mike's weekly shows are broadcast LIVE on KBIG world wide. Fan mail comes from all over the world in support of his shows and has a listening audience that figures up into the millions !!! Many people come from all over "just" to sing to a friend or loved one in another part of the country (or world). That is just one of the many reasons that sets Michael Dean Entertainment in a class above others in the entertainment world ... “I just love to entertain” says Mike. “… give folks one moment in time to listen, reminisce and forget their troubles”. ~Michael Dean Maybe you may catch Mike at one of the great Karaoke shows someday.
